Elaine Yuan, Assistant Professor
Media use in social contexts, new media, audience research, and mass communication theory. Her research interests include the uses of both new media and traditional media, and social and political implications of ICTs both in the United States and China. She teaches classes on the historical development and social implications of ICTs, and on audience studies. Before she became an academic scholar, she worked in the media industry in China, where she did research at the audience research division of China Central Television.
