The Association of Internet Researchers Annual Conference takes place in Milwaukee, WI this year on October 7-10. The Closing Reception on October 10 from 9:00 P.M. - 2:00 A.M. is sponsored by the University of Illinois, Chicago, Department of Communication. The reception takes places at the Iron Horse Hotel, 500 W Florida St).

As part of the Department's Skornia Lecture Series, Robert Entman, J.S and M.C. Shapiro Professor of Media and Public Affairs and Professor of International Affairs at The George Washington Univeristy will speak on Media Scandals, Oct. 12 from 12:00 to 1:00P.M. in SCE Rm.713.
