
Richard Doherty, Academic Technology Resource Coordinator, Instructor
In addition to coordinating the purchase, installation, use, upkeep of computers and A/V equipment, Richard teaches one class each semester for the department. He's taught Environmental Science at DeVry University (Chicago) and Leadership Training at Boston University's Sargent Center for Outdoor Education, plus coordinated Living on Earth's (NPR) Ecological Literacy Project in Chicago for high school students to train in the production of environmental radio stories. Richard is also currently a PhD student at UIUC in the Institute for Communications Research. His research interest is mainly in environmental communication, surrounding nature-human interfaces of communication such as park and trail signage, TV weather, GPS, and education.
