Yearly event showcasing companies and agencies to aid in living off campus. The 2011 Off Campus Housing Fair is scheduled for March 30, 2011 from 11a.m. to 2p.m. It will occur in the 1st floor concourses of Student Center East.
From time to time all students need to destress. For Spring 2011, the first Friday of the month, the CSRC hosts Game Day. Wii, board games, and more is setup around the space. Meet other students and have fun. Click the link for exact dates and times.
A group of students, from 2 to 8, host a professor of their choice for a free lunch. The meal aims to foster connections between faculty and students and spur conversation on topics from research to majors. Click on the link for more information.
A welcome event for incoming, first-year students, Commuter Connection Days occurs on the typical move-in day for Campus Housing and repeats throughout the week. Attendees will participate in a variety of events from workshops to a campus scavenger hunt, but they leave knowing more about the resources available and knowing other incoming students. Information about this yearly event is sent to incoming students during the summer.
A series of events around campus hosted by a variety of offices to welcome and orientate commuters to UIC. Some events in Fall 2010 included Complementary Coffee and Donuts at the El, Library Tours, a Movie Day, Game Day, and more.
