Wiggly pontics can be stabilized by having the lab add a labial and lingual flange so that the underlying soft tissue helps in supporting the pontic, not just the brackets. Paul Levin

One of my patients got a "makeup" cotton pad, elliptical shape, about 2.5 x 1.5 inches, about .25 inch thick from his mother, and it padded the chin cup nicely. Easy to obtain from drug store, cheap... Jim Eckhart

At the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia we protract many patients. A little baby powder inside the chin cup seems to work for most. Patricia Glick

It seems that there has been a change at Align Technology. Of the last four Clinchecks I've reviewed, none have had the correct starting occlusion. Most errors have been open bites and these vary from slight to significant. What is going on at Align and what is the fix for this? thanks and Happy Holidays to all charlie ruff
