ECON 395: Research and Writing in Economics

ECON 395 is a zero-credit hour course that is taken in conjunction with a designated 300- or 400-level economics course, as indicated in the timetable. Each semester, Econ 395 is paired with a different course.

If Econ 395 is paired with a particular economics course that you are interested in taking, you must enroll for both that course and for Econ 395. This is the case even if you already took Econ 395, or if you are a CBA student and you are not required to take Econ 395.

It is actually a good idea to take Econ 395 more than once if you can, in order to get additional practice with your writing. This is an excellent way to improve your written communication skills, which are very important for all jobs.
