Internships and Co-op Opportunities
Economics majors are encouraged to explore co-op and internship opportunities. Such opportunities provide valuable work experience which improves employment prospects after graduation, and they often represent a stepping stone towards permanent jobs.
The LAS co-op Office (350 UH, 312-996-0433) provides co-op and internship programs for economics majors. The criteria for admission to the co-op programs are as follows:
Overall GPA >= 2.5 and/or GPA in the major>= 3.0; completion of 45 sem. hrs.
