ECE Professor S. Mazumder receives new NSF 3-year grant offered by the Electronics,
Photonics, and Device Technologies (EPDT) division

This is the second NSF grant in a short span of 1 year and overall the 4th including the career grant that professor S. Mazumder receives.

The National Science Foundation awarded the grant to the University of Illinois at Chicago for the support of the project entitled "Photonically-triggered SiC-GaN and Superjunction based High-gain, High-temperature, and High-voltage Bipolar Power Transistor," under the direction of  Sudip K. Mazumder.
