Chicago Science Teachers Research (CSTR) Program: NSF RET Site Award EEC-0502272
The National Science Foundation has awarded a grant of $400,806 to University of Illinois at Chicago for support of the project Chicago Science Teacher Research (CSTR) program. This project is an initiative by the faculty of the UIC College of Engineering in cooperation with the Chicago Public School (CPS) authorities and industrial interest groups to address the need to engage in-service teachers in emerging technologies and cutting edge research in the area of biomedical and bioengineering, material sciences and nanotechnology, as well as environmental engineering. This project is under the direction of A. Linninger and C. Takoudis. This award is effective May 1, 2005 and expires April 30, 2008.
