UIC COE Laxman Saggere

Mechanical and Industrial Engineering professor Laxman Saggere has received
a $2,000,000 grant from the NSF's Office of Emerging Frontiers in Research and Innovation (EFRI) in support of his project to the Bio-Sensing and Bio-Actuation Program.

Title: "EFRI-BSBA: Nanoactuation and Sensing of Neural Function for Engineering Future Biomimetic Retinal Implants and Therapies"
PI: Laxman Saggere
Co-PIs: David Pepperberg, Haohua Qian (both from UIC Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences) and Scott Shippy (UIC Chemistry)
Award Amount: $2,000,000
