Mr. Kitz is a proud alumnus of UIC College of Engineering with a BS in Mechanical Engineering ('70) and an MS in Engineering Mechanics ('75).  Currently, he serves as Senior Technical Manager for Middough Consulting, a top U.S. architectural, engineering and management firm providing a full range of traditional and specialized design, technical and management services worldwide.

Prior to his current position, Mr. Kitz served at Vice President of Mechanical Services for CTE, a national engineering consulting firm serving the transportation and environmental markets.  Previously, Mr. Kitz spent thirty years with Sargent & Lundy based here in Chicago, and during his time there, served as Assistant Division Manager for Engineering Mechanics, Division Manager, Senior Project Manager and Associate, and Senior Manager.

Mr. Kitz's background also includes experience in working with the environmental, safety, and health requirements of governmental regulatory authorities including OSHA, the EPA,  NFPA, and the NRC. He lives in Barrington with his family.
