As the Chief Information Officer for CNET Networks, Inc., a top-ten Internet company, Ted Cahall is responsible for the domestic and international alignment of technology directives with CNET Networks' business strategy. In this capacity, he is responsible for the Internet web presence for all of CNET, ZDNet, TechRepublic, and mySimon web properties including: architecture, application development, infrastructure, payment processing, data center, network, and support services. He also manages the ERP and information systems divisions of CNET.
Prior to joining CNET, Cahall held various management roles at Bank of America. Most recently, he led the technical integration of the Internet Home Banking products between Bank of America and NationsBank as a result of their merger. Ted also managed and drove the technical definition, systems integration and development of the first successful U.S. banking Internet e-Bill Presentment and Payment implementation. Previously he managed the Enterprise Architecture and Standards division.
Prior to Bank of America, Cahall held management positions at two technology start-up companies focused on network and systems management. Cahall began his career at AT&T Bell Laboratories where he developed several engineering systems and was awarded a U.S. Patent for systems performance analysis.
Cahall holds a BS and MS in electrical engineering and computer science from the University of Illinois and has completed non-degree, executive MBA studies at UNC, Chapel Hill.
