IV. Your Support of Engineering EXPO 2009
Senior Design EXPO is the capstone event of the undergraduate educational experience. Over 2,000 participants and visitors will attend EXPO. Your sponsorship or gift to underwrite EXPO may include naming of the event or judging categories, and offers a variety of means of public recognition. Please indicate your interest. You will be contacted by Nancy Cohen, Director of Development, (njcohen@uic.edu or 312-996-2168) to discuss specifics.
Named Senior Design EXPO - $7,500: 1) The Engineering Senior Design EXPO will carry your corporate or individual name as the Principal Sponsor. This official name will appear on all banners, announcements, literature and signs. 2) Additional recognition will be given in the alumni magazine, Engineering News, the College Web site, and through other college or UIC media outlets. The College has over 18,000 alumni. 3) As the Principal Sponsor, your company will have the only corporate display space within the EXPO hall. 4) Your representative will be invited to participate in the Awards ceremony.
Corporate or Individual Underwriter - $2,500: 1) As an underwriter, you or your company will be recognized in event announcements and literature, in the College alumni magazine and on the College Web site, on signs and in a donor recognition ceremony. 2) Three first place category awards will be named for you or your company. 3) You or your company representative will be invited to participate in the Awards presentation of these three prizes.
Sponsor a project design category - $500: 1) One $500 first place category award will be presented in your name. Category awards are given to the first place team usually consisting of 3-5 students, who share the prize. 2) As a sponsor, you or your company will be recognized in event announcements and literature, in the College alumni magazine and on the College Web site, on signs and in a donor recognition ceremony.
Provide token gifts to student team members : hats, pens, key chains, t-shirts, etc. The number of token gifts and how they are distributed is up to you.
Thank you for volunteering to be a Judge at Engineering EXPO 2009. In early April, we will provide you with details of your assignment.
Project abstracts will be available on line or if you wish, they will be sent to you by e-mail.

Your gift in support of Engineering EXPO 2009 is tax deductible to the extent allowed under the law.
Checks should be made payable to the University of Illinois Foundation and mailed to Nancy Cohen at UIC College of Engineering (MC 159), 851 South Morgan Street, Chicago, IL 60607-7043. In order for us to properly prepare for this event, please notify us by April 3, 2009 if you are able to be a sponsor for EXPO 2009.
