Preparation for Majoring in
Engineering
(Prep-ME)

Prep-ME is a pre-college program that serves as an opportunity for student
participants to gain exposure to UIC for six weeks during the summer prior to their freshmen year. All students enrolled in Prep-ME take two
undergraduate courses paid for by the College of Engineering for credit.

MERRP is the College of Engineering’s commitment of increasing the number of underrepresented students earning engineering degrees. The staff is composed of professionals with backgrounds in higher education, engineering, and engineering education.

MERRP is the foundation to our engineering students' experiences at UIC. Most of our engineering students are introduced to MERRP through ENGR 100.
