Robin Grey's research interests include American literature and history of the nineteenth century; colonial and federal American literature; American regionalism; the Civil War; Native American literature; cross-disciplinary work on politics, painting, and literature; nineteenth-century American women writers; Milton; theology; seventeenth-century English literature and culture.
