The Friday Night Series spotlights the latest samplings of outstanding literary work from graduate students and faculty in the Program for Writers.

All readings start at 6:00 p.m. at Barbara's Bookstore, 1218 South Halsted Street

2012 One-on-One Reading Series

The One-on-One Reading series pairs a student from the Program for Writers with a writer of national repute. The student reads first, incorporating an overview of how his or her work has been influenced by the guest writer's work, as well as an introduction of the guest writer. The guest then reads from his or her work, followed by questions from the audience.

Students in the UIC Program for Writers and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago showcase their works in a joint reading. Poets, fiction and non-fiction writers share exciting new works in a relaxed setting.
