Introduction
Welcome to the Undergraduate Program in English at UIC. On these pages, you will find information about requirements, opportunities, resources, and advising information for English majors and minors at UIC.
The Director of Undergraduate Studies is Professor Chris Grimes.
ADVISING
We strongly recommend that all English majors and minors get frequent advising from our English-dedicated advisor, Jennifer Rupert, housed in LAS Advising (3rd floor, University Hall). Please call LAS reception at 312-996-3366, or email Jennifer Rupert at jruper1@las.uic.edu , to schedule an appointment or to discuss available walk-in hours.
Non-advising questions can be directed to John Casey, Program Coordinator for English Undergraduate Studies, at jcasey3@uic.edu, or to Brianna Noll, Graduate Assistant in the Undergraduate Studies office, at bnoll2@uic.edu. Both can be reached in-person during their scheduled hours in UH 1931.
