Writing Center tutors are busy people!
They tutor, they write, they publish, they
organize and run events like Writing Day. If you're a tutor and
you're interested in participating in any of these activities, please
contact get in touch with the person leading the project.
Connections:
Connections finds ways for prospective high school teachers and other
interested individuals to get into local public high schools and tutor
a younger group of writers. Everyone is welcome to volounteer.
Currently, the program needs drivers and tutors. Inquire about the next
Connections trip with Jonah
Bondurant.
WELL: The Writing
for the Enrichment of Living and Learning is a literacy and writing
program for adults. In the Fall and Spring semesters, tutors visit the
Higgins House, a halfway house part of the Cathedral Shelter on Ashland
and Jackson. Everyone is welcome to volounteer for the WELL program.
