Free Chemicals may be obtained
for research use by UIC faculty and staff through the Chemical Redistribution
Program. As a participant you will avoid purchase costs, reduce disposal costs,
and minimize waste generation. Distribution is on a first-come, first-served basis.
A signed requisition form is required for all transactions stating that the chemicals
will be used for UIC business only.
Redistributable
material must meet the following criteria:
- Original
sealed container
- Original legible
label
- No visible
degradation of material
- Unexpired
If you would like
to donate a chemical to the chemical redistribution inventory, please list each unused chemical on the Chemical Removal Form, mark an 'X' under the "Surplus" column, and e-mail form to: chemwaste@uic.edu.
Please inform other UIC employees who may be interested in this free service.
