Financial Aid

The Aid Process

The links on the left guide you through the aid process, from filing your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to receiving your aid and maintaining your eligibility.

You must go through the aid application process every year.

For the 2008-09 academic year:
The 2008-09 FAFSA can be filed until June 30, 2009, however, you must still be enrolled for the term for which you are seeking financial aid to be eligible. If you are currently attending and have not yet filed your 2008-09 FAFSA, please do so as soon as possible. You will need to fill it out early enough to allow for processing time.

For the 2009-10 academic year:
You should file your 2009-10 FAFSA in February 2009 for the upcoming 2009-10 academic year (August 2009 – May 2010). UIC’s priority deadline is March 1, 2009.

You will also find information regarding unusual circumstances during the aid process and your rights and responsibilities regarding federal student aid.
