| In order to positively impact the
success and first year experience of our new students at the University of
Illinois at Chicago, faculty and staff are encouraged to be a part of the
UIC Convocation ceremony. Join us in welcoming the new UIC Class
of 2012!
The Ceremony Check In Faculty and staff should plan to arrive for check in by 2:30 p.m. Check in will be in the Parking Structure east of the UIC Pavilion, where faculty and staff will line up for the processional. Please wear comfortable clothing and show your spirit by wearing red and blue. Procession All faculty and staff will process into the ceremony at 3:00 p.m. and be led to a reserved seating area in the Pavilion. Attire Dress for the event is casual. Please wear UIC colors. Event The UIC Convocation ceremony will last approximately one hour. It will include presentations and a UIC Flames extravaganza! Parking Relocation parking will be accepted at lots near the UIC Pavilion for the event. If you do not already have parking, a $5 fee will be charged. The Block Party The Chancellor's New Student Welcome block party will immediately follow the UIC Convocation ceremony. Join us in the SRC autocourt for food, fun, and games while we continue to welcome UIC's new students RSVP Please RSVP by August 16, 2013 using the faculty online reservation form. |
