Techniques of probability
and data analysis as applied
to problems in the earth and
environmental sciences. Topics
include probability, data description,
hypothesis testing, time series analysis, correlation and regression, and multivariate
methods. Labs focus on the use of statistical packages for data analysis. Term
paper is an analysis of a data set chosen by the student.
