The Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences is located in the Science and Engineering South (SES) Building (encircled in green) on the East Campus of the University of Illinois at Chicago (encircled in yellow), only a 30-minute walk from the Sears Tower and the Chicago Loop.

The department can be conveniently reached by car, by means of its proximity to the Eisenhower (I-290) and Dan Ryan (I-90/94) Expressways. Parking is available in the Halsted/Taylor Street parking garage (encircled in red), only steps from the main entrance of SES.

The East Campus is located near the UIC-Halsted El (elevated train/subway) stop (encircled in blue), a 5-minute ride from the Chicago Loop with the Blue Line. The Blue Line is directly connected with O'Hare airport (~50 minutes), whereas transfer to the Orange Line provides a connection with Midway airport.
