The Rock Preparation Laboratory is a general use facility located in 1327 SES. Equipment includes:

• Diamond blade rock saws (8", 16", and 36")
• Shatterbox
• Steel jaw crusher
• Ceramic jaw crusher
• Steel disk crusher
• Magnetic separator
• Ro-Tap sieve shaker
• Low speed diamond saw (4")
• Several polishing wheels
• Thin section cut off saw and grinder

Students must have permission from their advisor to use this facility. Equipment may not be used without prior instruction and most equipment is locked to prevent unauthorized use.
