Department News:
Two new faculty members joined EAES in August 2007! Dr. D'Arcy Meyer-Dombard, who comes to us from a postdoctoral fellow in geobiology at MIT, is our newest Assistant Professor. D'Arcy is a geomicrobiologist who specializes in extremophiles. Dr. Andrew Dombard, who was a senior professional staff member in the Planetary Exploration Group at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory, is now a Research Associate Professor in the department. Andrew is a planetary scientist who specializes in numerical modeling of planetary tectonics and geodesy.

Terra Society
The Terra Society is an organization within the department which functions to promote social activities among students, foster student - faculty interaction, and promote the Department. All EaES students are eligible for membership in the Society. Students and hobbyists in other disciplines are also welcome to become members.
