Associate Director of the Teaching of History Program
Julie Peters is in her third year as Clinical Assistant Professor of
History and as Associate Director of the Teaching of History Program at
UIC. Prior to coming to UIC, she was an adjunct professor with the
University of Phoenix, where she continues to assist with new faculty
assessment and mentoring of new faculty members. She was also a high
school social studies teacher at Woodstock High School, Neuqua Valley
High
School, and St. Edward's Catholic High School. She earned her
bachelor's
degree in history from UIC in 1983 and her MAT, also from UIC, in 1987.
Professor Peters was a contributing editor with the Teachers'
Curriculum
Institute History Alive! series, The United States.
