Career planning is a process that requires thoughtfulness. After you have confirmed your skills, interests, abilities, values and work style, you can begin the final step in the process: writing the plan. Employees are encouraged to complete the Self Review (step one in the Employee Performance Review Process) form as the first step in the Career Planning Process at UIC.
After completing the UIC Self Review Form, complete a Skills Assessment. The results of a Skills Assessment can provide insight into what you are good at and what you enjoy doing. Skills used in your career should combine both.
