Professional development opportunities, training resources, and employee performance management at UIC.
Remember, in order to monitor performance, job expectations must be clear.
The first step in the Performance Review Process at UIC is Setting Expectations. Discuss and confirm individual job performance goals with your manager at the beginning of each academic year. The outcome of this discussion provides a list of actions that are required to meet “your specific job performance expectations”. With this list, you can begin monitoring job performance for the year. Check the information documented in the Planning and Performance Expectations and Individual Development Plan forms found on the Documents and Forms page, on a regular basis to confirm if you are “on target,” “missing target expectations,” or need assistance from your manager to address “roadblocks” that may be prohibiting you from being a high performer in your job.
Performance reviews for Faculty, Academic Professional, and Open Range Civil Service staff are a factor in determining employee compensation under University policies related to merit-based salary programs.
