HR Policies and Procedures

Overview: During this session, the five steps in the Employee Performance Review Process will be reviewed. Forms and tools available to assist employees through the process will be shared. Supervisors and managers responsibilities in the Performance Review Process will also be discussed.

Overview: The LLEAP purpose, benefits and eligibility requirements will be discussed during a 45 minute session. Forms and administrative approvals associated with the process will be reviewed.

Leadership Development

Overview: LEADERSHIP ESSENTIALS two-day training session, is designed to provide new managers and supervisors with information required to function in their role more effectively. The training includes a pre-session assessment tool, facilitated discussions about managing work teams at UIC, detailed information about application of key HR policies and post-session management tools.

Workplace Fundamentals

Overview: An introductory course in business writing that reviews writing, grammar, punctuation, spelling and vocabulary basics. Topics addressed during the session include: writing to achieve results, proofreading and editing of written material in multiple formats including email, memos, letters, and reports. Participants will leave the session with tips and tools designed to improve business writing skills.
