The University of Illinois at Chicago
The Institute for the Humanities and the Chicago Humanities Festival have for fourteen years cosponsored an annual teachers' colloquium with thirty high school teachers participating from the Chicago area. Sessions focus on widely-taught texts, offering teachers the opportunity to discuss various aspects of a text chosen each year with university teachers in the humanities. In Fall 2007 the workshop will explore the text King Lear.
Presentations will be given by Bradin Cormack, University of Chicago; Brian Sheerin, University of Illinois at Chicago; and Mary Beth Rose, University of Illinois at Chicago.
