a. 12 copies of proposal narrative with cover sheet attached, roughly 1,500 words, plus one additional loose copy of the cover sheet. Proposals should describe the project concisely and clearly for a multi-disciplinary evaluation panel and address its relevance to current directions of research in the field. Please double-space proposals and use 12-point type.

b. 12 copies of a bibliography not to exceed one page.

c. 12 copies of Curriculum Vitae

d. Three letters of reference concerning the project from appropriate authorities outside the university. 8. Note to department heads:
a. Faculty fellows will be required to forgo teaching and will be released from administrative duties during the spring semester fellowship period.
b. LAS departments will be reimbursed equally for faculty replacements at the rate of $5,000 per Fellow for the fellowship semester. Reimbursement for non-LAS faculty will be negotiated among the applicant’s college, LAS and/or Academic Affairs.
