Pharmacognosy

PMMP courses offered by the Department of Medicinal Chemistry and Pharmacognosy are intended for students enrolled in programs in the College of Pharmacy. In most of these courses, enrollment is restricted to students whose college or curriculum requires that course.

         Same as BPS 507 and MDCH 507.   

PMPG     510            Research Techniques in Pharmacognosy
         3 hours.
           To be properly registered, students must enroll in one Laboratory and one Lecture. 

PMPG     512            Microscopy of Natural Drug Products
         3 hours.
        Prerequisite(s): PMPG 517 or consent of the instructor.    To be properly registered, students must enroll in one Laboratory and one Lecture. 

PMPG     517            Problem-Solving in Plant Taxonomy
         4 hours.
        Prerequisite(s): Consent of the instructor.    To be properly registered, students must enroll in one Laboratory and one Lecture-Discussion. 

PMPG     520            Enthnopharmacology Field Work
         4 hours.
        Contingent on availability of funds for travel support. Prerequisite(s): PMPG 517 or consent of the instructor.    To be properly registered, students must enroll in one Laboratory and one Lecture-Discussion. 

PMPG     522            Laboratory Techniques in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology I
         3 hours.
        Prerequisite(s): Credit or concurrent registration in BCHE 460; or consent of the instructor.  Restricted to Graduate College, and Pharmacy.  

PMPG     565            Special Projects in Pharmacognosy
         1 TO 3 hours.
         May be repeated to a maximum of 9 hours. Prerequisite(s): Completion of the first year of the program.
