       4 hours.  Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory grading only. No graduation credit. Prerequisite(s): Open only to freshmen and sophomores. ESL 050 or placement by English Placement Exam administered by the University Testing Service. Restricted to students with Freshman, and Sophomore class standing.

         Communication and Teaching Methods for International Teaching Assistants
       1 TO 3 hours.  Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory grading only. May be repeated for credit. Students may register for more than one section per term. No graduation credit. Prerequisite(s): Graduate or professional standing. Students must take the SPEAK Test and must obtain consent of the instructor. Restricted to Graduate - Chicago, and Professional - Chicago.  Taught in English. One additional hour each week in the language laboratory.
