Medicinal Chemistry

PMMP courses offered by the Department of Medicinal Chemistry and Pharmacognosy are intended for students enrolled in programs in the College of Pharmacy. In most of these courses, enrollment is restricted to students whose college or curriculum requires that course.

MDCH     516            Structure Elucidation of Natural Products II
         3 hours.
         Same as PMPG 516. May be repeated. Prerequisite(s): PMPG 515.    To be properly registered, students must enroll in one Lecture and one Lecture-Discussion. 

MDCH     564            Physical Medicinal Chemistry
         3 hours.
        Prerequisite(s): One year of physical chemistry.  Restricted to Graduate College.  

MDCH     571            Organic Medicinal Chemistry II
         3 hours.
        Prerequisite(s): MDCH 460 and MDCH 561.    

MDCH     572            Drug Design
         2 hours.
        Prerequisite(s): MDCH 561.  Restricted to Graduate College.  

MDCH     592            Research Techniques in Medicinal Chemistry
         2 hours.
        Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory grading only. May be repeated to a maximum of 6 hours. Lectures/discussions will be given for the first part of the semester and an intensive lab experience takes place for the remainder of the semester. To be taken fall and spring semesters of the first year of graduate study.  Restricted to Graduate College.

        May be repeated to a maximum of 4 hours. Prerequisite(s): MDCH 561 and MDCH 562 and one year of physical chemistry and one semester of biochemistry or consent of the instructor.  Restricted to Graduate College.
