LITH     101            Elementary Lithuanian I
         4 hours.
        Four additional half hours each week in the language laboratory. For students who have had no formal work in Lithuanian.   

LITH     103            Intermediate Lithuanian I
         4 hours.
        Prerequisite(s): LITH 102 or the equivalent.   

LITH     115            Lithuanian Culture
         3 hours.
        Knowledge of Lithuanian is not required.  Cultural Diversity course.  

LITH     130            Lithuanian Prose Fiction in International Context
         3 hours.
        Taught in English.   

LITH     399            Independent Study
         1 TO 3 hours.
        May be repeated to a maximum of 6 hours. Prerequisite(s): Junior standing, consent of the instructor and the head of the department.  This course counts toward the limited number of independent study hours accepted toward the degree and the major. 

LITH     499            Independent Study
         1 TO 4 hours.
        May be repeated to a maximum of 8 hours. Students may register in more than one section per term. Graduate students may register for more than one section per term; undergraduates may only register for one section per term. Prerequisite(s): Senior or graduate standing, consent of the instructor and the head of the department.  This course counts toward the limited number of independent study hours accepted toward the undergraduate degree and the major.

LITH     570            Studies in Lithuanian Literary Criticism
         4 hours.
        May be repeated to a maximum of 12 hours.
