Location: 2303 UH; Phone: (312) 996-2650. For each course in Accounting, priority in enrollment will be given to students whose college or curriculum requires that course. Other students who meet the prerequisites may be accommodated during late registration as space permits. Part-time evening MBA students may be given priority in registration for evening MBA course sections. Some accounting courses will have combined-section final exams. ACTG     110            Introduction to Financial Accounting
         3 hours.
        Extensive computer use required. Prerequisite(s): Sophomore standing. Restricted to Economics, Finance, Accounting, Bus Admin-Undeclared, Engineering Management, Information & Decision Sci, Marketing, Summer Session, Entrepreneurship, and Management. Not intended for Graduate - Chicago. Not intended for Bachelor of Arts.  Students from other departments and colleges can sign up for this course at the Accounting Department webpage http://accounting-net.actg.uic.edu. During fall and spring terms, combined-section final exam will be held on Monday of finals week from 6 to 8 p.m. 

ACTG     111            Introduction to Managerial Accounting
         3 hours.
        Extensive computer use required. Prerequisite(s): ACTG 110 and sophomore standing.  During fall and spring terms, combined-section final exam will be held on Tuesday of finals week from 6 to 8 p.m. 

ACTG     315            Intermediate Financial Accounting I
         3 hours.
        For satisfactory progress in the Accounting major, students must receive a grade of C or better in ACTG 315. ACTG 315 may be repeated only once. Prerequisite(s): Grade of C or better in ACTG 110 and grade of C or better in ACTG 111; and, for accounting majors, a passing grade on the Accounting Qualifying Exam (AQE). A waiver from the AQE will be granted only to students who have an average of B or higher in ACTG 110 and ACTG 111. Restricted to Economics, Finance, Accounting, Bus Admin-Undeclared, Information & Decision Sci, Marketing, Summer Session, Entrepreneurship, and Management. Accounting majors must also have a passing grade on the Accounting Qualifying Exam (AQE).
