Welcome to the

Chancellor's Committee on the Status of Latinos

The Chancellor's Committee on the Status of Latinos (CCSL) plays an important role in ensuring issues that impact Latinos are addressed not only by the Chancellor but also by the UIC community as a whole.

The CCSL works proactively on issues related to the employment of Latinos, recruitment of Latino students, and support of Latino efforts on campus and in the community.

The Committee has taken a leadership position in enhancing cultural diversity on campus and bringing about a greater awareness of Latino accomplishments through cultural, educational and political events.

Participation of Latinos on campus is essential to the continued progress and support of the CCSL and its efforts.
