The Latino Cultural Center Thursday Series was created to promote the diversity of the Latino Culture through the dissemination of knowledge and all forms of artistic expression. Music, dance, poetry, film, conversation, art and workshops are all important elements of the Thursday Series. Every Thursday of the month represents a unique realm of the Latino culture, while encouraging the development of creativity and leadership among student organizations.

La Peña de UIC provides an arena for artistic expression. Music, dance, poetry, art, and food are important elements of the Peña. While scheduled performances are a part of the program, the most important component is the audience participation and freedom of artistic expression through song, poetry, dance, performance, and art. La Peña is held every third Thursday of each month.
