Computer Classroom

The Computer Classroom contains 24 workstations featuring tablet PCs equipped with headphones, microphones, webcams, and the language-related software. Students can use programs such as Audacity and iTunes to record and edit audio samples to create their own Podcasts, Skype to freely communicate with people all over the world about language, culture, and anything else. They can also use various web development software to share their experiences and ideas with other students and others beyond the classroom.

The smartroom features a lecture console with a built-in computer, DVD player, webcam, speakers, and auxiliary VGA, S-Video, RCA input connections. For presentations, there is a retractable projection screen and the lecture console is connected to a ceiling-mounted projector, microphone, and a presentation pointer/remote.

No food or drink or related containers allowed in this room at any time. Instructors who fail to enforce or follow this rule may subsequently not be granted use of this room.

Scheduling

See ACCC Computer Classroom schedule to check availability and request a reservation. Please note that conversations with the Director of the Language and Culture Learning Center do not constitute a reservation. You must fill out the form and request your reservation from ACCC.

Card access is required for this room. It is highly recommended to CC the person actually teaching the course on the reservation request to facilitate access troubleshooting when the course begins.
