About Klaus Brandl
Klaus Brandl, Ph.D., is Assistant Professor of Germanics and the director of the German language program at the University of Washington. His research interests include language teaching methodology, teacher training, and technology. His work has been published in major journals such as the Modern Language Journal, the Foreign Language Annals, Language Learning & Instruction, e-FLT online, and RECALL and he has contributed several chapters to books on teacher development and technology and language learning. He is the author of Communicative Language Teaching in Action (2008), a methods book for language teachers. His latest book is entitled Bangla across Borders (2011), a first-year language textbook for learners of Bengali.
