Call for Proposals

Tasks and Projects in Foreign Language Teaching and Learning

Presentations are 20 minutes long, plus 10 minutes for Q&A.

Language instructors at all levels are invited to submit proposals; all languages are welcome.

Proposed topics may include, but are not limited to:

Tasks and projects across the curriculum
Effective integration of grammar and vocabulary in task-based materials design
Task-based instruction in upper level content-focused courses
Integrating reading and writing through task-based materials
Enhancing intercultural literacy through task-based instruction
Service learning
Assessment issues related to tasks and projects
Implementing tasks and projects at beginning, intermediate, and advanced levels
Use of media in tasks and projects
Effective facilitation of tasks and projects
Making on-line tasks and projects interactive, collaborative, and/or cooperative
