Executive Committee
Charge of the Executive Committee:
- Represent the Faculty as a whole, to which it is responsible
- Act for the Faculty in cases where the entire Faculty cannot meet
and to report such action to the faculty
- Ensure that all Faculty committees fulfill their charges and report
to the Faculty
- Solicit advice from the Faculty and advise the University Librarian
on faculty issues
- Conduct performance evaluations when requested by the University
Librarian
or the Chancellor, or the Chancellor’s designee
- Serve in other capacities as delegated by the Faculty or as requested
by the University Librarian

Responsibilities of the Secretary:
- Consult with the Chairperson on the agenda of the Faculty meetings
- Record the minutes of all Faculty and Executive Committee meetings
and submit them to the Chairperson within 15 days.
- Consult with the Chairperson and committee members about the agenda
for Executive Committee meetings
- Appoint teller(s) pro tem at meetings
- Conduct correspondence for the Faculty as directed
- Convene meetings of the Executive Committee in the absence of the
Chairperson
- Organize the annual review of the University Librarian
- Update the faculty web pages
