Documentation 2:
Content: How to
develop
a portfolio; writing a philosophy statement.
Audience: Librarians
developing
teaching documentation; they may be encouraged to attend more than
once.

continuing development regarding peer review
Audience: Potential
reviewers
and teaching librarians.

Examples of seminars

1999 Workshop for librarians who are in the potential reviewer pool;
to initiate
the process of peer review, to give the potential reviewers an
overview of
the documentation, and to get ideas about it from UIC faculty who had
done
some of this in their respective departments. Workshop was provided by
members
of CETL – Council for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (James
Pierce, Project
Coordinator of CETL; Saundra Theis, College of Nursing and chair of
CETL;
John Huntington, Dept of English.)

for potential reviewers years when there are faculty on at AY 2 tenure
track
who will be comprehensively reviewed; biannually for teaching faculty
on tenure
