The University of Illinois at Chicago
(UIC) Library strives to meet the information needs of UIC students, faculty,
and staff. The library contributes to teaching, research, outreach, and clinical
service at UIC by acquiring, organizing, and archiving information and by providing
expert staff, access to information sources in all formats, and instruction
in the retrieval and use of information. The UIC Library also extends information
services through a variety of cooperative and reciprocal programs, regionally,
nationally, and internationally. The library faculty conducts research that
addresses the theoretical and practical aspects of information organization,
preservation, retrieval, and delivery.
