Research

My research is focused on the history of health sciences librarianship and information needs and services for rural health professionals as well as health consumers.

Librarianship

Administration of the Library of the Health Sciences located on the Urbana-Champaign campus is my current responsibility.  I also mentor students enrolled at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Graduate School of Library and Information Science with an interest in health sciences librarianship.  Earlier in my career, I was responsible for reference, education, outreach, and document delivery services at the Library of the Health Sciences-Urbana and in hospital and medical society libraries.
