SUGGESTIONS FOR THE LIBRARY'S COLLECTION

Consortia

The Library is a member of several consortia. Memberships provide negotiated pricing for databases, grants to purchase materials, and state-funded databases. These consortia include:

CIC
Committee for Interinstitutional Cooperation
Includes the University of Chicago, University of Illinois at Chicago, University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, Indiana University, University of Iowa, University of Michigan, Michigan State University, University of Minnesota, Northwestern University, Ohio State University, Pennsylvania State University, Purdue University, and University of Wisconsin-Madison.

CRL
Center for Research Libraries
A consortium that houses, catalogs, and lends little-used research materials not held by other major institutions in the United States.

CARLI
Coalition of Academic and Research Libraries of Illinois
Includes institutions of higher learning and public library systems in the State of Illinois.
