Criminal Justice Resources Successful research into the area of criminal justice studies involve various types of information
resources. Statistical, theoretical, and practical information on criminal
activity,
data about criminals, law enforcement policies and programs, as well as prisons are just a few examples. The Government
Documents Department in the Daley
Library acquires publications from the
Bureau of Justice Statistics,
the National Institute of
Justice, the Illinois State Police, and the Chicago Police Department. Access to information crime and criminal justice in other states and countries can be found in a number of indexes throughout the Main Library and from the Internet sites. This web page provides introductions to a selected collection of resources (both print and non-print) that can be used for research in criminal justice. Criminal justice information can be both complicated and hard to find. Please ask for assistance from the Public Service/Reference Desk on the 2nd floor of the Daley Library.
