DOSFAN is a partnership of United States
Department of State and University of Illinois
at Chicago. The documents librarians and system librarians at the Main Library of UIC
cooperate with the staff at the State Department to update the Department's homesite, maintain related
web servers and manage five different listservs that deliver specific
publications by the State Department. UIC is also reponsible for
maintaining the official site of the Electronic Research Collection
(ERC).
In addition to maintain the State Department website on a daily basis,
the Documents librarians at UIC are also responsible for answering all the
questions sent to the website at the address "DOSWORK@LISTSERV.UIC.EDU".
DOSFAN represents a decentralized collective of networked machines and
operations shared between the the Department of State's Public
Communication office staff and UIC Library staff. The servers managed by
UIC include the following:

UIC is also reponsible for managing eight different listservs that deliver
