Illinois Department of Revenue (IDOR)

The Illinois Department of Revenue (IDOR) parallels the IRS on the state level, and it is responsible for collecting taxes for Illinois. IDOR provides state tax forms and instructions to the taxpayers, and sends the state tax notices and bills that explain the amount of tax and any penalty and interest owed by the taxpayer. The Web site of IDOR provides online downloadable tax forms and taxpayer instructions (address: http://www.revenue.state.il.us/).
