The library's primary collection of cartographic materials is located in the Maps Section of the Daley Library. In addition, the Special Collections Department (Daley Library) houses selected cartographic materials in both sheet map and atlas format. Nearly all of these are printed rather than manuscript items and were published prior to 1900. The collections focus on four geographic areas:

User access: The Special Collections Department, Sharon A. Hogan Reading Room, 3rd floor south, Daley Library, is open Monday through Friday. Hours of access may vary with the academic calendar; please telephone (312/996-2742) for information. Cartographic materials are retrieved by Department staff and must used in the Reading Room under the supervision of Department staff.
